How Does the Price Increase Work?
As of 11/22/22, The Gross Room has increased membership pricing.
Monthly memberships are now $5.99/month & yearly memberships now $55/year.
- If you had an ACTIVE account prior to the price increase, you will be grandfathered in at the old price ($4.99/month & $48/year). If your existing account was expired and renewed, or if you cancel and rejoin after this date, you will pay the new price increase.
- If you purchase your subscription during a promotion/sale, that sale price is only valid for ONE YEAR. Every year after you will be billed full price (Sign-ups prior to 11/22/22 will renew at $48USD/year & sign-ups after 11/22/22 will renew at $55USD). We do not and never have offered lifetime discounted memberships.

Maria Q. Kane is a podcast host, producer, and writer for The Gross Room, a blog-based website that focuses on pathology, anatomy, medicine, and forensic education.
After graduating from The University of the Arts, Maria used her photography degree to enter the world of fashion styling. She worked on various productions ranging from pharmaceutical advertisements to coordinating the costume department of a major motion picture.
In 2021, Maria earned a certificate in UX Design and joined The Gross Room, her family’s business, as a web designer, producer, and writer.
She has become known for her writing contributions, including historical articles pertaining to medicine and famous crimes. In 2023, Maria and her mother launched the hit podcast, Mother Knows Death, which explores chilling stories found in the news each week followed up by interviews with experts in the field.
